The Restorative Justice International Collaborative is pleased to announce the 2025 International Restorative Justice Conference, which will be held from Wednesday, October 1, through Friday, October 3, 2025, in the Chicagoland area.
This global event brings together practitioners, researchers, educators, policymakers, health professional, students, and others from diverse disciplines and regions – including Africa, Asia, Europe, Oceania, North America, and South America to exchange knowledge and explore innovative approaches to restorative practices.
Hosted by Governors State University (USA), the 2025 conference will feature international collaboration with leading institutions such as the University Unesc (Brazil), University of Insubria (Italy), the Italian Consulate, Restorative Community Courts, and the Zehr Institute. Together, we aim to strengthen global efforts in criminal justice, education, health, environmental justice, and beyond.
This year’s theme explores the dynamic intersection of restorative justice and judicial systems, envisioning judges and courts as guests of honor in the community. Through participatory democratic dialogue, we aim to foster new pathways to address harm, promote healing, and cultivate resilience within and across communities. The conference will delve into innovations, challenges, and future directions for restorative justice in our increasingly interconnected and multi-centric world.
Join us for this powerful gathering of global voices committed to healing, justice, and collective well-being.
